THAT bug is usually presaged by the bug where the merchant will give you money but won't take your item.
I tried getting around it by shoving my inventory in shared storage at every opportunity, but losing it when docking on the other side of the blockade for the first time killed it for me. I mean weapons, ammo, torpedos, loot, EVERYTHING. I have been plagued with an inventory that frequently disappears, usually when I load a save, but once or twice in the middle of playing RIGHT AFTER DOCKING. I'll post what I have experienced here with any workarounds I've found, just in case any masochistic soul wants to keep plugging.
I don't usually say this, but I'm officially done with this game until/provided that the bugs are FIXED.
